We’ve been pretty stoked about the new release of Thesis 2.0, as you can tell from the Thesis 2.0 First Look article I wrote at WPMU.org.
In just a few days tooling around with the new framework we were able to come up with a custom Thesis Box for the very popular WordPress slider plugin Revolution Slider.
Revolution Slider is a responsive image and video slider that packs so many features it will make your website spin – literally. We didn’t develop it – though I wish we did – it’s really neat.
Usage
It’s fairly easy to use, has a great interface, and a very interesting layered slider panel which makes for cool animation/image effects.
Of course, for the Revolution Slider Thesis Box to work you’ll need the Revolution Slider plugin, which is a premium plugin – but worth every penny of the $15 that developer is currently charging for it.
And now you’ve got a shiny new box to use the Revolution Slider anywhere you want with Thesis 2.o.
Revolution Slider box can be added anywhere in your layout editor and multiple instances of the slider box can be added too – even on individual pages.
[custom_button text=”Download Revolution Slider Box for Thesis 2 by OrgSpring” title=”Download Revolution Slider Box for Thesis 2 by OrgSpring” url=”https://orgspring.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Revolution-Slider-for-Thesis-2-by-OrgSpring.zip” size=”medium” bg_color=”#FF5C00″ text_color=”#FFFFFF” align=”left” target=”_self”]
How to Install
- Inside WordPress Dashboard, navigate to Thesis admin panel.
- Hover over Boxes in the top Thesis Menu and click Select Boxes menu option.
- Choose Upload Box and navigate to the zip file downloaded above
- After installation, make sure the check box is selected next to the Box named Revolution Slider Box for Thesis 2.x by OrgSpring.
- Choose the green Save Boxes button.
- Navigate to Thesis Skin Editor
- The new Revolution Slider Box will be added to your list of available box choices when you use the Add Box Dropdown selector. Note – I you do not see the revolution slider box available in the list you may need to refresh your editor. Make sure to save any changes before refreshing.
- Enjoy!
