OrgSpring recently worked on a website redesign for CA State Assembly candidate Richard Bloom, who is currently serving as Mayor of Santa Monica, one of California’s most populous and diverse cities. The website is for the Mayor’s 2012 Assembly campaign, one of the most highly watched campaigns in all of California.
For this project, OrgSpring worked with lead designer Matthew Tetsuo Reynolds, a fantastic design firm in Los Angeles, CA. OrgSpring helped take the site from static to dynamic with the addition of a blog and volunteer section, and an updated design to pages where the Mayor can accept donations, both online and offline.
The mayor was able to use the website to capture several political science major volunteers across the country, from UCLA to Harvard.
We also added contact forms by which supporters can reach the Mayor and deliver messages relevant to his platform, and the people of his district. In addition, we simplified the social sharing sections of the website and planned a few social media messages which helped take the mayor from a few hundred fans and followers to a few thousand followers in just a few weeks’ time.
RichardBloom.com is another example of OrgSpring’s dedication to the democratic process in our country, and our belief that a good website can help inform, educate, and engage the public in political discourse.
